Forever Thursdays presents A Volupté Soiree
...a musical journey through the centuries telling of love, laughter, loss and loneliness. Inspired by the soirees of the 19th century, acclaimed German soprano Tamara Stein has teamed up with award-winning Swedish pianist Samuel Skönberg to perform songs about the joys and sorrows of the greatest power on earth; featuring works by Grieg, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Sibelius and others. The audience will be able to relax in the cosy atmosphere of Volupté, and enjoy an after-dinner recital in an intimate space. This will be the first of a quarterly series of events, bringing classical music to the heart of London for newcomers and connoisseurs alike. "Highpoints of the evening included Tamara Stein and her vocal solo where she combined coquettishness with coloratura." (remotegoat). "Her voice was absolutely beautiful and extremely powerful. (Peep Toe Magazine). "Excellent pianist with flowing technique and artistic exactitude (Smålandsposten). "supple, sensitive and free…technical mastery." (Uppsala Nya Tidning. subtle … powerful."
