Desmorphia
Escape to a world of biting wit and dazzling glamour with Desmorphia, an extravaganza of twisted character comedy and music courtesy of one of the burlesque circuit’s brightest stars. Astonishing costume changes and hilarious songs combine to deliver a sensual and thought-provoking night out.
Produced by Blond Ambition and Ministry of Burlesque, Desmorphia uses sketches, stand up comedy and song to explore the themes of identity, insecurity and hunger for fame, that serve as a driving force for many performers and entertainers. Desmorphia combines sharp, savage comedy with beautiful, heart-rending moments guaranteed to stimulate, entertain and provoke. It is a visual feast, exploiting O'Connor's penchant for New Romantic excess, burlesque glamour and epicene style.
“Dark, hilarious and really rather strange.” - Simone Baird, Time Out (Critics' Choice)
